King’s College London - Macadam Building
Fuller Rogers led the management of the complete refurbishment of the Macadam building for King's College London. As part of KCL's strand campus the redevelopment of the macadam building played a key part in the wider strategy for King's Strand Campus.
The project consisted of a complete 10 storey strip out and refurbishment of the building, including wide infrastructure replacement and a new plant room with connection to the Strand Campus district heating system. The building is now home to 3 floors of Engineering Space including new electronics labs and robotics testing facilities. A new innovative pilot teaching floor with fibre optics flood wiring, multiple floors of teaching spaces with various lecture and seminar spaces. Computing and Coding teaching zones in new departmental spaces. New shower and changing facilities for the building and building wide fibre compartmentation enhancements to enable increased student population within the building. Sustainability was carefully considered throughout the project and it was the first King's College London project to acheive a SKA Gold Rating.
