Ivy House

Ivy House is a 400-year-old Grade II listed dairy farm on the edge of the Cotswolds, built from local Horton stone it stands at the centre of the village of Ettington and was a working farm until the mid 1950s. FRM acted as lead consultant and contractor – we took down the milking barn and dairy piece by piece and rebuilt it to its original design with existing and reclaimed materials converting the barn into residential accommodation. The works included the insertion of a hidden steel frame to carry the structure along with a reclaimed roof and the restoration of the existing A-frame oak trusses and stone walls. FRM made all the timber and joinery work in their workshop and were awarded a Gold Guild Mark from the Guild of Master Craftsmen for the project.
